Harold Hutchison's post at Called As Seen, whether you agree with it or not (and I agree with almost all of it), shows how sharp the divide between the center-right and the right is within the party. It's sad to watch, and I hope it does not result in the catastrophes of earlier years -- as I noted in my comment to Harold's post.

With most of the house firm against the Senate giveaway and 32 GOP Senators voting against the McCain -Kennedy-Bush coalition, how can we honestly refer to them as center-right vewrsus right? Reason requires we call them the leftists that they are.
How can an honest man call those who stand against a bill loved and praised by Vincente Fox - Teddy Kennedy -Jimmy Carter -Billy Boy Clinton -John McCain - and Harry Reid as well as all but four of the Democratic Senators ever be referred to as a right -center right split? Try left far left versus conservative right and a hell of a lot of Americans to back them up.

DL, you have any evidence that the House bill has serious support among the American people? The Pew poll I cited a while back showed 79% in favor of some form of earned legalization that did not require illegals to return home first.
My point in the post above is that Republicans are sharply divided. That you would try to characterize the split as: sensible people on one side (yours) versus left-wing loonies who hate Amnerica on the other side, only underscores how divided we are.

i believe your country it should have a war with mexico just take this place over....hell at tis rate every person in mexico wil be coming here anyway...or be may you can just trade places with them.....all you go down there and let them come here then in a few years they will want to come back so you can trade places again...after you all build they country up for them that is then you come back up here and fix this after they run it to the hells.
