Maybe These Republican Members of The Judiciary Committee Need A Phone Call
Hugh Hewitt rightly excoriates the Republican Senate staffers who spoke anonymously to the New York Times about Harriet Miers:
Harriet Miers comes from the front lines of a five year war with the left, and nearly as long a war with our real enemies.(Of course, I imagine Laura Ingraham will be reading the Times' story gleefully on the air. I listen to Laura every day while I am running; today for the first time I switched her off. She's to the point of embarrassing herself.)
And anonymous staffers mock her resume? That's just unbelievable. Senators Kyl and Senator Brownback, Senators Sessions and Hatch, Senators Cornyn and Coburn and Grassly --are you really going to allow your people to be less honorable than the left?

I just posted a comment to Senator Hatch ripping the staffers. It will be interesting to see if I get a response. His track record in responding in a meaningful way--as opposed to a form response that may or may not be tangentially related to the topic raised--hasn't been great (at least to me). Also wondered whether the Senator would actually even get the message--especially if one of his staffers is among the guilty!

Yes, Laura and her crew think that serious dialogue must include a healthy dose of making fun of those with whom you disagree.
Since making fun of others is strictly forbidden in our home, I am quite a hypocrite for listening to Laura. Therefore, she has been permanently switched off. This is something I don't want my kids to think is okay.
Her dialogue has become strictly Junior High.
