This Guy Really Can't Go Home Again--They'll Kill Him! Prominent Moslem Critic Converts to Catholicism

In a move that predictably will reignite Islamic anger at Pope Benedict XVI, the Pope personally baptized Egyptian-born Magdi Allam at the Vatican Easter service, the Jerusalem Post reports. The former Muslim Allam, who is married to a Roman Catholic, has infuriated some Muslims with his books and columns in the daily newspaper Corriere della Sera, where he is a deputy editor. For example, he has described Iran as "a main threat to stability and security in the world." [What, he hasn't heard of George Bush, the United States or Israel? He obviously needs to spend more time reading U.N. human rights resolutions, the Daily Kos and the collected sermons of Reverend Jeremiah Wright!] He has called Iran's government a "mad regime." He has also spoken of "global war between those who deny the others' right to exist and those who carry the ideology of violence and terrorism. It's a struggle between civilization and radical Islam and terrorism... The civilized world must not give up on the right to live for all."

However, until today's conversion, his greatest crime agains Islam probably was his authorship of a book called "Long Live Israel." Boy, talk about provocative. He even said, "If we exclude Israel, we will open the door wide open for terrorism against all of us."

What an Islamo-phobe! There was clearly no place for him in Islam, as his conversion to Roman Catholicism today would seem to prove.

Given how Osama Bin Laden, in a recently released recording, accused Pope Benedict XVI of helping a "new Crusade" against Islam, one can only imagine how he will react to this very public conversion of a prominent Moslem. It's just one more manifestation of the Zionist-Masonic-Vatican conspiracy against Islam. As for Mr. Allam, we recommend that he not plan on a visit to Egypt to visit family in the near future.
