MSM Focus on Mitt Romney's Ancestors: Is This Really Necessary?

Over at Article VI Blog we examine the AP's latest voyage into very shallow waters. The title of the AP piece says it all: "Polygamy a prominent feature in Romney's family tree." It seems that over 100 years ago some of Mitt Romney's Mormon ancestors were polygamists.

This utterly unsurprising and well-known information may be the best example of "dog bites man" we've seen this year. Article VI does a dissection, with links to others; and Best of the Web Today performs a brutal and thorough smackdown.

Adds the Kosher Hedgehog: Now that AP has exposed this scandal regarding Mitt Romney's ancestry, the Kosher Hedgehog feels he too must come clean. Two of my ancestors were polygamous. One, Abraham, had two wives, Sarah and Hagar (aka Keturah), and his grandson Jacob had four wives, Leah, Rachel, Bilhah and Zilpah. Indeed, it is precisely in recognition of this shameful ancestry that I have decided not to seek the Presidency in 2008.
