It is a great article, deflating both the superiority complex of certain Europeans (and their Europhile American counterparts), and capturing a quintessentially American perspective on the blessings of liberty. Unfortunately however, in today's political climate, the headline (and the article) reference to Americans would need to carry the qualifier "some."
That being said, I believe that the article truly captures the depth of most Americans' dedication to liberty, not only at home, but around the world, as well as the recognition that sometimes it does take dying for.
