The Art of Civil Discourse

We seem to be in an era of such great polarization that respectful discussion has become a rarity. (If you disagree, just listen to talk radio, either conservative or liberal, for a few minutes.) Hugh Hewitt links to "Timely Tips for Having a Civil Political Conversation." It's a keeper.

One merely needs to listen to failed ex-officeholders like Jimmy Carter -and Sandra Day O Connor (Bush is heading toward a dictatorship) as they slash and burn the Bush presidency. Discourse? Disgruntled children is what they sound like. Leftist attacks 24/7 are the order of the day -there is no moral equivelancy between the left and the right. It is the loss of power that has driven the left to absurd public misbehavior.

Just check out who are the radical protestors and ex officials and the msm - don't confuse reaction to near treason and paranoia with defense of truth -however loud!
