THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
"Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passion, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence."

Compassionate and caring are wonderful virtues, but in a "wartime" President I prefer a few others as well. Intelligence, thoughtfulness, the ability to understand that just because your "gut instinct" tells you something doesn't mean it is going to turn out that way. Interesting to note that Mr. Big Brain errrrr Bush wasn't just wrong about the whole WMD thing. When the subject of american casualties arose in a meeting with Pat Robertson prior to the invasion Bush told him "we aren't going to have any." (cut and paste link below)

So maybe that is why you are so impressed that Bush is going to save us all because he is not afraid to use power---what the hell, to him it isn't any different than playing a good game of Risk with his brothers during summer vacation in Maine.

Okay, Bush is not perfect. So stipulated. As between the two candidates I'll take the one who seems to have a set of fiercely-held core beliefs with which I agree, and who can lead the American people. Hint: That person is not Kerry, who appears top have no core beliefs, and I wouild not agree with him if he happened to let it slip that he does. Unless you're blind, you've seen polls thta show that people don't trust Kerry and that most of his voters, like you, are anti-Bush and not pro-Kerry. But if you think Kerry's the man, by all means vote for him.
