If East Jerusalem is Occupied Territory ...
Now that Secretary of State John Kerry has described East Jerusalem as "occupied territory," I guess we can expect the Mainstream Media to adopt the following descriptive phrases: "the traditionally Arab Jewish Quarter," "the traditionally Arab Hadassah Hospital and Hebrew University on Mount Scopus," and "the traditionally Arab Mount of Olives Jewish Cemetery." The occupation of that last site has been particularly hard on the Palestinians, because from 1948 through 1967, when it was in sole Arab possession, its tombstones were an important source of building materials for roads and latrines--another blatant example of the Zionists depriving Palestinian use of their natural resources and a fitting subject for a UNESCO resolution that the Obama Administration can support.
"Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passion, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence."
--John Adams, 'Argument in Defense of the Soldiers in the Boston Massacre Trials,' December 1770.
