Hugh Hewitt and CNN's John Roberts on Gov. Palin

This is very much worth the 8 minutes it takes to watch:

Notice John Robert's defensiveness and general lack of understanding about the difference between "mentioning" a politician's gaffe and making the gaffe part of the national discussion.

(HT: Hugh Hewitt.)

Hewitt's got a good point at the end but still S. Palin remains unfit to the VP job... far more than H. Clinton.

Hillary Clinton's association with the various corrupt practices of Bill's presidency disqualifies her from the start.

As far as John Roberts' reactions go, far more telling than the issue of 'mention' vs. 'trumpet' is that he didn't have a clue what The Looming Tower is about, nor that it was a Pulitzer Prize-winning book on a crucial topic of the last 6 years. As Hewitt says, no shame in that -- unless you're in the habit of trying to trip up others on similar questions.
