THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
"Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passion, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence."

This is a great follow-up to Ramirez's Mount Rushmore cartoon last month. (Ramirez has to be the best conservative cartoonist today--and perhaps for a very long time, at least since the lapse into a quirky crankiness on the part of Steve Benson at the Arizona Republic).
Now that the religious rhetoric--at least within the Republican race itself (as opposed to the reporting of it)--has quieted down, I'm hopeful that the storm is actually blowing over, at least for now.
