14 Carter Center Advisory Board Members Resign to Protest Book

Fourteen members of the Carter Center Board of Councilors have resigned in protest of former President Jimmy Carter's book, Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid. According to the story in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, in a letter to Carter (shown at left with a good friend, now deceased), the members of the Board of Councilors wrote that the former president had "clearly abandoned your historic role of broker, in favor of becoming an advocate for one side." (HT: Little Green Footballs.) From the list of names of the resigning board members, it would appear that most if not all are Jewish. That is unfortunate, since Carter will no doubt portray their resignations as just one more effort by the American Jewish pro-Israel lobby to stifle open discussion on Middle East policy.

What is most unfortunate about this is that so few of the non-Jewish liberal elites working at the Carter Center and other liberal enclaves don't also resign in protest. This man needs deep and firm humiliation as he seeks to erase from reality his failed presidency. He just keeps slipping deeper into the quagmire of incompetence and petty hatreds that chatracterize him so well.

Carter's mother, Mizz Lillian, must have had a premonition. Her famous quote --"Sometimes when I look at all my children, I say to myself, 'Lillian, you should have stayed a virgin.'"--seems more and more prescient as the years roll on.

Carter tells it like it is and the Zionists howl because they can't stand the truth.

If you can't deal with it that is your problem, not the rest of the worlds.

Isn't it characteristic of the "courage" of the anti-Zionists that the commentator posted his or her comment anonymously. Exposure of the disingenuous nature of Carter's book, as noted on this blog and elsewhere, has thoroughly demolished any argument that Carter tells it like it is and his opponents can't stand the truth. In fact, recent revelations suggest that Carter has sold out to the Saudis and other moneyed Arab interests. Anonymous, come back when you are willing to disclose your name and make a cogent argument.
