Mitt Romney, The New Media Candidate?
Take a look at this YouTube video, entitled, "The Real Romney?"
Then tune into this podcast interview on InstaPundit, with Glenn and Helen Reynolds. Now watch Romney's own (short) YouTube video of himself on the phone to Glenn and Helen. (HT: Power Line.)
Now ask yourself: Is this not a very effective use of technology?
As Hugh Hewitt, a keen observer of politics and the blogosphere, comments:
Romney's push-back at the YouTubing of his '94 debate with Ted Kennedy --happening in rapid response fashion-- means an entire news cycle on a somewhat significant story has played out before even one newspaper reported it, with the anti-Romney forces (clearly worried about the big $ Monday and the DeMint Tuesday) trying to put a stick in the spokes, and Romney's team finding a way to knock it down in the same cycle.Yup.

This was a very smart move by Romney. the internet is the wave of the future and the fastest way to get the message out. It's nice to see them so techno savvy. P.S I love your Article VI Blog, I read both of your blogs eveyday but wish you had more time to put up more stuff here. also I'd like to hear from the Kosher Hedgehog more often if he is so inclined.

Thanks, C. Mitchell. I am going to try posting more here, and more about Romney. It's just that I have this full-time job thing that takes me away . . . .

More from the Kosher Hedgehog? Hey, C. Mitchell, I am already carrying this blog, what with Lowell's Article VI blog, his "full-time job," and his increasingly frequent vacations to tropical locations.(See his recent reference to basking in Bora Bora--does he speak from experience?) And I also have a full-time job, although my wife and office manager might contest my definition of full time.

Mitt lost me on his right to choose argument which of course could include any evil one decides. The legal murder of over 50 million innocent lives says we have lost our moral compass. Whether Mitt has reallly changed or is meraly again saying what will get him elected is the question. I'd personally rather hope and pray that out of 300 million americans we can still find one moral man or woman who doesn't have to apologize for being, believing, and seeking a moral society.
