Odd, Reagan called those religio-crazies "freedom fighters" when the "evil empire" was the "threat-to-our-way-of-life" du jour.
"...while bin Laden’s minions talked big, but couldn’t do much against much stronger Baathist Iraqis, godless Soviets, and nationalist Serbs."
How could radical Muslim extremists fight *against* Baathist Iraqis and yet be in league with them simultaneously?

Dear Wori:
I think your arguments are pretty tired by now. In fact, most people on your side of the debate have moved on to more current attacks: Abu Ghriab, Guantanamo (although those last two are getting worn out too) and the standard-bearer of the week, Cindy Sheehan. As for Reagan, well, the Cold War was a different time, and the stakes really were high. But left-wing Democrats have never really accepted those historical facts, so why should we expect you to do so now?
