Truly Remarkable

Link

I must admit, it is indeed curious that we as a nation are devoting so much time and energy to events that occurred (if at all) 30+ years ago. That we are doing so, however, is not Bush's fault. It's John Kerry's.

(Thanks to RatherBiased.com for the cartoon.)

I'm sure it was your brother's fault on long car trips for making you hit him ("But Mom, he was looking at me!"). I'm also sure that swift boat book must have been written the day after Kerry's nomination speech. I'm also sure that despite Bush having engaged in exactly this same type of thing four and a half years ago against Mccain that they forgot about it completely. Of course when you have no accomplishments of your own to speak of what the hell else are you going to do but attack the other side.

In response to Anonymous above: Thanks for the comment. Surely you recognize that Kerry's decision to make his short tour of duty in Vietnam the centerpiece of his campaign, even with his complicated wartime history, to have been disastrous? It is the reason we are talking about all these things now.
